Wild Rose Dairy Goat Society was founded in 2022 by a group of dairy goat enthusiasts looking to build a community of like-minded breeders, exhibitors, and keepers in Alberta. Some of us grew up in dairy goats, and others found the joys of dairy goats later in life, but all of us were thankful for the community we had found ourselves in and were eager to help it grow. Many of us have excellent mentors who taught us a lot, and we wanted to build a network to help new and seasoned breeders alike learn, grow and enjoy themselves within a supportive community. As a Society we aim to give our members opportunities to learn and connect with other ‘goaty folks’ by hosting events like shows and workshops and to start building a bank of educational resources for new goat keepers. By joining Wild Rose Dairy Goat Society, we hope to give you a platform to learn, share your experience and hopefully make a few friends along the way.
